Increased Safety for Testing Energized AC Electric Motors
The MTAP2 module allows facilities to test energized AC electric motors and generators, without opening the MCC or switchgear doors. The voltage at the port, where the user connects the test equipment, is less than 50V to comply with the latest OSHA and NFPA 70E guidelines for safe electrical work. MTAP2 modules can be used with any PdMA P-Series or H-Series (black case) Emax and MCEmax portable testers. A custom cable connects the MTAP2 port to the tester. MTAP2 modules use UL and CSA recognized components, and were designed to meet UL 508, TIL 31 and CSA 22.2 Num. 14-05 standards. The MTAP2 is designed to increase safety and reduce connection time for online motor testing MTAP2 meets both OSHA and NFPA 70E definitions for safe voltage. Time consuming tag out and lock out procedures are eliminated and in seconds you can connect and collect accurate data to determine your motor health.
